Rochelle Summerfield is a multidisciplinary artist working with drawing, paint, photography and digital media. Boldly intersecting the hand made with new technologies, she creates dialogues around female subjectivity and the transformation of human relationships with nature in post-industrial society.
Rochelle has work in numerous public and private collections, including the State Library of Victoria. In 2017, ‘Lost’ was awarded overall winner of the innovative photo-media award at Moreton Bay Region Art Awards. Currently her work is in the nationally touring show ‘As Far As The Eye Can See’, curated by Rilka Oakley, Blue Mountains Cultural Centre. 2019 has seen her as artist in residence at Hazelhurst Regional Gallery, Sydney and Freemantle Arts Centre, WA. Her upcoming solo show Crossroads is on the 7th December at the Western Plains Cultural Centre, Dubbo. Rochelle has a Master of Visual Arts by Research at Southern Cross University, 2006 and BVA Honours (First Class).
