Nini Nahri-Gali meaning Aboriginal Female Dancers in Bundjalung was established in 2017, The Troupe is made up of young girls and women of all ages. The girls are guided by Sarah Bolt, older female dancers and parents of the dancers. The troupe come together to perform traditional and contemporary dance through movement that illustrate the story line’s that grandparents share when they were young and was handed down to them from their parents and grandparent.
The aim of establishing a dance troupe in Lismore was to identify culture, connection, identity and tradition. Nini Nahri-Gali have performed at several events since established and will continue on to represent the Widjabal clan of Lismore in future events.
