With a passion for creating art that both stimulates and inspires, Shmick has over ten years’ experience working in the creative arts industry, largely across Queensland and New South Wales. Shmick strives to create art that illuminates spaces and places and encourages audiences to connect.
A multidisciplinary graphic and visual artist from the Northern Rivers NSW, Shmick is proficient in a range of mediums including aerosol, ink, acrylic and brush. The alumnus of the CATC Design School Gold Coast has a strong background in creative processes including graphic design, creative problem solving and working to a design brief.
Shmick’s work predominantly encompasses environmental themes and messages, driven to create art inspired by the coastline, rainforest, native animals and stunning surrounds. His portfolio largely consists of dreamscape compositions, expressionism, while incorporating a delicate balance of surrealism and realism.
Shmick has painted across a number of public sites in South East Queensland and Northern NSW, including public buildings, walls, schools, hospitals and private enterprises. He thrives on collaborating with clients and project stakeholders to deliver a result that is widely appreciated.
