Penny is an established artist in the region with a 35 year continuous practice. Her primary practice is ceramics but she also works with fabric, paper, film and other media.
Her art is a reconnection and exploration of her Gomeroi roots in north western NSW and as part of that exploration unpacks colonialism past and present through her own family story. Penny’s work is held in both public and private collections. Her solo show Dhigaraa gilgaa baa – Place of many Birds – is on at the JamFactory as part of the Tarnanthi Festival in 2019.
