Lismore
Liminal is an experimental psychedelic rock band based in the Northern Rivers, Australia.
Secret Electric described their single “I Live for You” as an “irresistibly psychedelic voyage characterised by cinematic sounds, a thick gritty bass guitar, an intense slow burn groove, and dreamy melodic riffs.”
Liminal were selected for both 2024 and 2025 SXSW Sydney, they have played extensively in the grass roots psych scene in across the east coast of Australia, opened for DJO with a wildly electronic set, and even launched their own truly community focused festival, Anemoia, sharing the stage with acts such as Fungus and Nice Biscuit. Their live shows are meticulously crafted to reflect the detail captured in their records.
Having released their debut LP “Place” and sophomore LP “White Dots” independently, Liminal are set to release their most daring project yet, “Hyper Normal”. Written and produced by Alako Myles, the upcoming LP is an audiophonic homage to the strange corners of the world, a sonic salute to the likes of David Lynch, and will bend the minds of all who hear it, pushing Liminal into their new era of creativity. Mastered by Beau Thomas (Aphex Twin, Burial) and will be released via Impressed Recordings/Republic of Music in 2026.
