NEWS

Applications have now closed for this funding for individual creatives who have had their practice directly impacted by the 2022 floods, whether by loss of equipment or future income opportunities (exhibitions, recording, gigs, workshops, etc.). This funding is available to provide immediate assistance with flood recovery, clean-up, replacement of lost or damaged equipment and to assist in the immediate resumption of practice.

Individual creatives can apply for direct payments of $1000. Applications will be accepted by professional practising artists, musicians, performers and creatives who have been affected and suffered significant loss to their livelihoods to assist with the immediate recovery process. We will be accepting applications from creatives residing in all areas of the Northern Rivers including Lismore, Tweed, Byron Bay, Ballina, Richmond Valley, Kyogle and Clarence Valley local Government areas. Applications will be assessed within two weeks of being lodged.

Our Arts Northern Rivers team have been dedicating their time to advocate and fundraise for flood relief and recovery funding to directly assist individuals impacted by the devastating floods in the Northern Rivers.

With overwhelming community and national support, Arts Northern Rivers has so far raised over $70k for flood relief. Coupled with an additional generous $70k from Create NSW, Arts Northern Rivers has $140k available to directly assist flood affected individual creatives in the Northern Rivers region.

Larger flood relief funding packages for groups and organisations will be announced very shortly through Create NSW. Other flood relief funding is available through Service NSW.

The Arts Northern Rivers fundraising campaign remains open for contributions until the end of March at pozible.com/project/flood-recovery.
