Nick Pike’s painting practice involves experimentation with states of awareness and perception to glimpse into a world of immanence where all real distinctions (mind and body, God and matter, interiority and exteriority, etc) are collapsed or flattened into an even consistency of plane. Akin to the anthropological role of a Shaman, Artist and audience alike, are immersed into a world that is not separate from The Spiritual, translating these perceptions into representations and work.
