Zerina Millard is a performance artist, creative arts therapist, facilitator and climate adaptation consultant whose work weaves together movement, storytelling and community resilience. Based in the Northern Rivers, she brings a unique blend of artistic practice and social innovation to her roles across the region.
As Director of The Bollywood Sisters, a vibrant community-based dance school, Zerina leads classes and performances that celebrate culture, colour and connection. Her work in dance focuses on joy, inclusion and embodied expression, supporting people of all ages and backgrounds to experience movement as a pathway to confidence, creativity and belonging. With a grounding in creative arts therapy, she integrates trauma-informed and somatic approaches, ensuring her programs foster both personal wellbeing and collective connection.
Through her consultancy, Golden Threads Studio, Zerina also works across community engagement, facilitation and climate adaptation. She collaborates with local organisations, government and community groups to support participatory planning, values-based decision making and community-led resilience projects. Her practice centres on amplifying lived experience and ensuring diverse voices are heard in complex adaptation conversations.
Zerina is the Producer of Adaptation Stories, an initiative that uses creative practice, documentary storytelling and community narrative to share real experiences of change, recovery and resilience across the Northern Rivers. This work highlights the power of art to make policy human, deepen understanding and build collective futures.
