Local Ballina artist Matthew Purves is launching his solo exhibition, Proprietary Variables and the Modal Illusion of Happiness, at the Northern Rivers Community Gallery on March 11th to May 3.
Matthew works with a variety mediums to create paintings, sculptures, printed digital renderings and 3d printed models cast in polyester resin, sanded and polished to a clear finish.
Proprietary Variables and the Modal Illusion of Happiness is a study on economics, globalisation, brand value and the effects this has on society and the way we live our lives.
The exhibition launch on Thursday the 12th March, from 5:30-7:30pm, will join artists Mark Stapelfeldt, Rae Saheli and Helen Halliday forming the Northern Rivers Community Gallery March program.
