Born and raised in the northern rivers, Uma has always been surrounded by the arts. After high school she lived abroad in Berlin for 4 years where she developed her passion for photography. Now living back in the local area she is studying film and continuing to pursue her art in various ways. Her love for surrealist photography and the dada art movement of the early 20th century are her main inspirations. She strives to explore the beauty hidden away in the little things, and in unexpected places. This is what drives her to create.
