Sarah is a freelance illustrator and artist originally from Vancouver, Canada. She lived in Sydney for ten years and now lives in Brunswick Heads, NSW. Sarah graduated from the Enmore Design Centre in Sydney with an Advanced Diploma in illustration and graphic design in 2015, also winning the Illustrators Australia Award for Best Overall Portfolio.
Sarah works for a wide range of clients and is represented by The Illustration Room. Her drawings are full of expression, hand drawn and usually digitally coloured.
Sarah also explores abstract painting, where the undefined worlds of emotion and energy translate themselves freely into the visual world. Sarah explores this intuitive form of painting using a variety of mediums. The process begins with a feeling, working with instinct rather than concentrated thinking, allowing the painting to dictate it’s own course, until it’s multiple layers and colliding patterns suggest a completed work.
