Nic Palmer is multi-disciplinary artist who works with painting and video, and is also a songwriter living in Lismore, NSW. Nic currently exhibits with Gallery 3 in Byron Bay, she began exhibiting her work following the HSC when her 4 paintings documenting life in rural NSW, were selected to be part of ArtExpress. She continued her studies at Sydney College of the Arts, graduating in 2014, and went on to continue studies and exhibit work in Wales and London after obtaining a scholarship. Nic completed courses in business and personal coaching in the United States and came back to Australia to set up her own paint party (similar to paint and sip) business, which she currently runs in The Northern Rivers. Another branch of her artistic passion is in song writing, and during the covid lockdowns her and her musical partner who she was living with at the time, created their first EP called a different kind of grunge (available on most streaming platforms). Nic continues to work on new music and occasionally do gigs around Lismore. Through music, Nic taps into her love of video-making and editing, which you can see a sample of on her band’s song Hate Myself All Over Again, on YouTube. Nic occasionally does live painting at her gigs to give the songs a visual life too.
