Federica Sveva is an Italian born artist currently based in Byron Bay, NSW Australia. She has worked across international art studios such as Paul O Robinson studio (paulorobinson.com) in Ljubjana, Palazzo Fortuny (fortuny.visitmuve.com) in Venice as photography assistant and at the front cover for the Italian translation of media theorist and philosopher Boris Groys’s book “In the Flow – Art in the Age of Digital Reproduction” curated by Postmedia Books (postmediabooks.it).
Her artworks and prints are in art galleries around the world such as Bugno Art Gallery (Venice, Italy), Greenart Asia (Hong Kong, China), Hysteria Art Gallery (Milan, Italy), Cris Contini Contemporary (London, Uk). One of her lightbox “Connections Online” made at Michele Tombolini atelier has been displayed at ‘collateral events’ for Venice Art Biennal 2019; “Nightmare”, “Connections Online 2” and few more were displayed at Violarte Emozioni D’Arte at Palazzo della Regione Lombardia in Milan (2019). These and the more recent works are developed to drawn in the Pop Art world and pulled out by kaleidoskope images, hypnotic in their effect. “New sophisticated” is the term to use to describe these artworks. Collage and photography (photomontage), flat colours, hard and precise drawings, pictorial effects (and more) are the supreme symbols of pop culture creating a total harmony out of the most disparate elements to create an urban environment.
