Bayou film is an independent film lab and community darkroom. Offering lab services, Bayou also runs workshops and offers the darkroom space for hire.
Bayou Film founder, Dan Marsh studied photography in Melbourne and after spending time in the darkroom printing, fell in love with the analogue process of creating images, not just taking photos.
Over the years, Dan has crafted his skill and knowledge of film and, inspired by the thought of sharing this, opened Bayou Film Lab in 2017.
Bayou Film (pronounced By-you) aims to create a space for like minded film frothers to share their joy and love of film photography.
By building a community of people who love film as much as we do and encouraging photographers to get back to the careful, authentic way of creating images, we are keeping this art alive.
