Byron Shire
Georgina Peach is a maker, performer and facilitator who has resided in the Byron Shire the past 5 years. Originally from England where she worked at sea as an Oceanographer, much of the inspiration for her painting works stem from her affinity with water and her life living next to the ocean. She paints predominantly in oils, acrylic and occasionally with screen printing and has exhibited her work internationally. The style of her pieces vary from hyper-realist to abstract depending on the expressed concept.
When not in her Mullumbimby-based art studio, she can be found performing as roving characters at events or facilitating workshops in painting and creative practices. Her moto is ‘to play and be kind’ and her works reflect these values, encouraging people to take part and have fun while being compassionate towards themselves and others.
