“What does spirit mean to you? Connection to country? To family? To one’s self? And how does that spirit move you in your daily life? Spirit is connected to who I am.” Michael Philp
In this one-day workshop at Byron School of Art, Michael will guide students to explore how, through art, they perceive spirit in their daily life – connection to country, to family, and to one’s self, and how that manifests.
For Michael, art is a healing process that has proved to be both confronting and liberating. Artistic blocks have been a challenge for Michael but he has learnt to resolve them in a way that has strengthened both his art practice and his spirit.
This workshop will offer students a safe place to explore their own creative spirit with no limitations. Michael will support students to let go of any negative self-talk that may be inhibiting their art practice. He is very passionate about sharing the skills he has developed over time. Michael says: “It is all about the process, but you will be surprised at what you can create after this shared healing experience.”
