Ken Ford has a diverse set of skills and interests within his visual arts practice.
After studying ceramics at the National Art School – East Sydney Tech between 1970 and 1973 Ford has spent a lifetime expanding, diversifying and fine tuning his power of expression. He is an outsider/anarchist artist/artisan held in high esteem among his peers. Besides his private practice, Ken Ford has worked in a vast range of visual art employment.
As well as having studios in Brookvale, Lismore, Larnook, Perth and Hobart, Ford has been employed as a technician in printmaking and ceramics at tertiary level, an exhibitions manager for indigenous artists in the Kimberley and managed an indigenous paper mill in northern NSW.
