Jemima Patch-Taylor has always felt at home in her practice after growing up in a family of artists. She has strong family ties and connections to the environment of the Northern Rivers. Her work is driven not just by the visible, tangible landscape but by the spiritual and visceral connection to it as well. Impressionist and deeply feminine, her paintings are powerful documents of unspoken attachment to the world around us. Patch-Taylor’s practice deeply revolves around immersing herself in nature and being near bodies of water. Her dominant medium is oils- either working extremely quickly or layering over the course of weeks.
