Sam Love (Slove) is a Kiwi that lives in Australia. “It’s a strange feeling not knowing exactly where home is and that you can miss New Zealand but feel happy where you are in another country”.
He used to scribble with black pen on the back of receipts while working at Kathmandu culminating in his first show ‘Sloves Cardboard Ferraris’. He now has progressed through colour pencils and onto larger size art work that has built from the black and white format.
The paintings are now bold and distinctive and blend kiwi nostalgia with the vibrant colours and characters of Australia.
