Sue Fraser makes work with various clay bodies using the alchemy of several firing processes to produce complex surfaces. She is best known for her expressive equine forms where she uses a variety of techniques for surface interest including impressions, sprigs, slips, brushwork, over glazing and decals to develop a narrative.. Sue is strongly influenced by the part horses have played in the rise of many cultures and the complexity of human horse relationships
Sue has had several solo exhibitions, and has been an artist-in-residence in China, Japan and South Korea. She has work in collections at Grafton Regional Gallery, Byron Bay Council, Jingdezhen, Baoji & Linchang in China and in Malaysia. Sue also has work in several private collections nationally and internationally and has sold work through Art Fairs in Europe and online to America and The Netherlands and New York. Sue sells her work within Australia and internationally through social media, her website and Etsy online.
