Ebony is an observer, a highly sensitive woman, a mother of two, and a photographer based in the Northern Rivers. She works solely on 35mm colour and black and white film. Her imagery is filled with natural light, warmth and beauty.
Ebony’s background as a creative is in Design Arts (BA degree). She attended a local Steiner school that fostered and encouraged her imagination and creativity from an early age. Having spent many years of her 20’s travelling and experiencing the richness of many diverse cultures, she became fascinated with capturing people, colour and nature.
Years later, when she became a mother, her focus shifted towards pregnancy and motherhood. Her intention when taking portraits is for her images to portray a unique sense of warmth and familiarity. She wants her subjects to experience being seen, and for the gentle, raw beauty of film to mirror the beauty in themselves.
