The Byron Bay International Film Festival returns with a special edition hybrid festival providing audiences with the opportunity to experience select cinema screenings of a collection of outstanding Features, Documentaries, Shorts, Surf and Local Films.

The festival will celebrate the independent and creative spirit of filmmaking, giving Australian and International Independent Filmmakers the opportunity to have their work viewed by Australian Industry Leaders, Celebrities and Film Buyers through our 2020 Awards Competition.

Chucky Boy Blue, a short film directed by Tim Nathan is selected to the feature in this years special edition of the festival. The film is showing during Spotlight on Byron at the Byron Theatre on the 24th of October. Tickets.

On the cusp of adulthood, Vinny sees a disparity in his life. Faced with the same decisions as his father or to forge his own path, we see a boy step into manhood and a man confront his childhood.

Those unable to make it to Byron this October will have the opportunity to sit under a full moon for a screening next to Byron’s iconic lighthouse in a magical 360 experience, as BBFF takes a unique take on presenting a Virtual Festival.
