The Galah Press Regional Photography Prize has been created to encourage excellence in contemporary photography from regional Australia. The intention of the Prize is to celebrate, support and advance the practice of regional photographers.
Joining Galah on the judging panel are Susi Muddiman, Director of the Tweed Regional Gallery & Margaret Olley Art Centre in Murwillumbah, and Tamara Dean, a critically acclaimed Australian photo media artist whose work has been exhibited in public and private collections in Europe, America and across Australia.
The judging panel will choose approximately 40 finalists across two photography categories: an Open category and a Student category (for Year 11 & 12 students). One winner will be announced for each category.
Open prize winner receives $25,000
Student prize winner receives $2,500
