Penny started in textiles learning spinning, dyeing, and felting from local artists. She then studied lino printing, etching and collagraphy. Simplifying her process, she used pen on paper, stippling rather than drawing lines for greater control over shading and gradation. An evolution to stitching and hole making created the more monotone white/white works.
Whilst currently experimenting in the field of abstraction, Penny is happy to step in and out of figurative work as the muses demand.
