The NSW Artists’ Grant has been initiated by NAVA to assist professional visual and media arts, craft and design practitioners residing in NSW to produce, present and promote their work throughout NSW, interstate and overseas. Artists residing in regional NSW are encouraged to apply so this means YOU!!

This grant provides assistances towards the costs of:

  • Production of new creative work
  • Presentation of work in a venue
  • Residencies involving the production or presentation of new work
  • Preparation and distribution of an artist’s publication or portfolio
  • Creating and maintaining a database, setting up a website, and/or a publicity campaign (funds are not available for the payment of marketing professionals)

Funds can be used to cover costs associated with the above activities including artist fees, materials and equipment, travel, freight, installation, venue/studio rental fees. Framing, insurance, opening costs, printing, documentation, website fees.

Funding Available:

$1,250 plus GST for individuals

$2,500 plus GST for groups/collectives

An individual exhibiting in a group show can apply for individual funding, but the assessors may choose to limit the funds going to any one exhibition.

Important Dates: This grant operates in quarterly rounds. Applications for this round close 23:59 AEST Sunday 20 October 2019. Funds from this round can be used for projects or exhibitions taking place in February, March, April, May 2020 only.
