Lynette Weir grew up surrounded by the Sydney bushland of the Sutherland Shire, in the 60s and 70s. Exploring her environment provided the passion, inspiration and obsession for wildflowers and nature which dominate her artwork today.
Printmaking for over 30 years, Lynette’s drawing practice provides the foundation for the creation of her artwork with a predominant focus on linocut printing. The graphic quality of linocut coupled with the exploration of colour and design through hand colouring produce beautiful artworks with a strong vibrant design.
Lynette wants to inspire people to look more closely and observe the natural world around them.
