Working out of his studio in Ballina on the North Coast of NSW, Greg Hodgson is an Auckland born artist, designer and illustrator who crafts original artworks, commercial textile & apparel graphics and experimental music videos.
Most days he paints from his studio in Ballina, either on commissions or for shows like his upcoming solo show at Lone Goat Gallery in November 2019. His works are held in private collections in Australia, New Zealand and the United Kingdom.
Alongside painting he also use vintage analogue audio-visual equipment to produce experimental films and music videos for musicians and producers, as well as performing with the gear live at music festivals including Falls 2018/19.
Over the past couple of years he has produced music videos for Richard Fearless (Death in Vegas), Daniel Avery, Darren Cross, Yeo, Rope and most recently Wharves, all of whom relate to the hand-made nature of the videos he makes. They know and love that it’s not just a filter on a computer or an iPhone making their video.
