As an AILA Registered Landscape Architect and a true Northern Rivers local, Sheryn enjoys spending time with her young family on the farm and sweating it out in the forests mountain biking and running. It is the ability to enjoy these and other experiences within a diversity of natural, rural and culturally enriched urban settings that drive her deep passion for design, the landscape, and the village character of the region.
Since 1995 she has worked individually and as part of collaborative and multi-disciplined teams to bring creative and practical design solutions to a variety of landscape architectural and urban design projects. Integral to her design approach is a desire to always emphasise the importance of designing sustainable and adaptable places for people which result in an enriched and responsive environment. Design Team ink is about working with the client to develop original and fresh designs that respond to the site conditions and character and which will be enduring in quality and style.
As project manager and Principal Landscape Architect, Sheryn’s designs and research have won several awards for excellence in landscape planning and urban design.
Sheryn specialises in medium scale projects including village and town centres, subdivision and mixed use developments, commercial, industrial and retail precincts, education facilities, domestic residential, medical, aged and special care facilities, open spaces, parks and recreation areas, cemeteries and crematoria, community and public domains, infrastructure and community art co-ordination projects with a strong environmental and sustainability focus.
